Should we let women bear Prejudial against them?

Prejudicial expressions against women « Ni ay’abagore. » Kinyarwanda has certain prejudicial expressions against women, some about their behaviour and other about their responsibilities. Many of these find their origins in the culture where back in the days, women use to be relegate to the lowest level. “Ni Ay’abagore” One of the perfect examples is the expression that has been used in order to convince women that they are incapable to manage by themselves unless a man is around. Whenever a woman would present or say some ideas men would use that expression in order to relegate their advice or proposition to nothing. The expression means that whatever has been suggested will not benefit in any way to the couple. There are many other expressions that tend to disadvantage women but when you take a close look to the country outcomes nowadays, you can easily notice that these prejudicial expressions have long ago passed their meaning. Great examples are in the government dispatch where the parliament is directed by a women and invested by a majority of them, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is as well headed by a woman and in many of these institutions responsibilities and tasks are well r handled and it is as well a fact in the Rwandan families. After 1994, women have turn into family chief and many of those families headed by women are wealthy. In other words there are many examples that should prove women capacities and the development of the country. As another expression says: “a woman is the future”, this should inspire individuals, and no one should be thinking or behaving as it use to be back in the days. Women should also be more involve and prove to all that they are capable of what they are asked to do and not be relegating themselves to what people expect from them.
